SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

1.      Mengungkapkan kejadian yang berulang-ulang

2.      Mengungkapkan fakta

3.      Mengungkapkan peristiwa yang direncanakan dalam waktu dekat

Contoh Kalimat :

(+)       She is a nurse.

(-)        She is  not a nurse.

(?)        Is she a nurse ?

(+)       Angel is her sister.

(-)        Angel is not her sister.

(?)        Is Angel her sister ?

(+)       My mom always wake up at 5 am.

(-)        My mom doesn’t wake up at 5 am.

(?)        Does my mom always wake up at 5 am ?

(+)       He reads book every night.

(-)        He doesn’t read book every night.

(?)        Does he read book every night ?

(+)       Maharani is a new student in my class.

SIMPLE PAST TENSE

1.      Mengungkapkan peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lampau

2.      Mengungkapkan serangkaian tindakan yang telah terjadi

3.      Mengungkapkan durasi di masa lampau

Contoh Kalimat :

(+)       She was there waiting for me alone

(-)        She was not there waiting for me alone.

(?)        Was she there waiting for me alone ?

(+)       I lived in Jakarta.

(-)        I didn’t live in Jakarta.

(?)        Did you live in Jakarta ?

SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE

1.      Mengungkapkan prediksi di masa depan

2.      Mengungkapkan tindakan secara sukarela/spontan

3.      Mengungkapkan suatu rencana di masa depan.
